Microwave oven Keyboard related problems include:
keypad buttons not functioning
oven won't start
error codes/indicator appear on display
no power
turntable already rotates even if start button not yet pressed
intermittent operation of keypad
For keypad conversion, scope of works is as follows:
At customer site:
Verify/diagnose for keyboard problem
Dismantle keyboard/ pull-out for workshop repair
At workshop site:
Peel off keypad front label cover
Peel off printed wiring keypads
Drill mounting holes on keyboard frame
Mount the tact switches(microswitch) on the mounting holes
Solder wiring on the tact switches according to the printed wiring of the of the original plastic keypads
Solder the wiring from the tact switches to the mainboard according to the printed flexcable of the original plastic keypad
Test and check for proper functioning of the keyboard
Deliver & install keyboard to microwave oven at customer's site.
Keyboards of following microwave oven brands converted:
GE. Whirlpool. American Home. LG. Samsung.
