VAM Systems is currently looking for Manager - Telecom Service Onboarding & Acceptance for our UAE operations with the following skillsets & terms and conditions:
Qualifications, experience, skills and competencies
Minimum experience
•8-10 years of experience with at least 5 years of technical experience in Telecom company.
•Development experience in OpenStack CLI commands and administration.
•Development experience in Linux/Unix scripting especially for TCP/IP stack, Routing/Switching networks, LBs, Firewalls, DNS, VPNs etc.
•Experience with deployment or configuration management tools such Chef, Ansible, Jenkins, etc.
•Knowledge in IP networking, Application traffic flows, and Security best practices.
•Experience in supporting application virtualization within a service provider network.
•Knowledge of SDN, NFV, OpenStack, Docker, Containers Concepts as well as the FCAPS model to support Service level orchestration and assurance.
•Programming aptitude in Python, Java scripts, SOAP, Ruby, PHP.
•APIs Knowledge based on JSON, XML.
•Experience with HOT Template and OVF based VNF descriptors.
•Networking services consisting of Virtual and Physical Network Functions.
•Familiarity or experience with Software Defined Networking principals or system. A qualified candidate would need to exhibit significant experience across the following areas:
•Understanding of Open Source software development, system and database administration best practices
•A deep understanding of Data Centers virtualization technologies (servers, networks and software stacks), monitoring tools and processes.
Minimum education:
•Minimum bachelor degree in Computer, IT, Electrical, Electronic, Network Engineering or IT (any telecom equivalent)
•PMP Certification will be a plus
•ITIL certification will be desirable
Knowledge and skills:
•Out of box problem resolver, having multitasking capability, collaborative, cross functional value adding, and able to work under pressure and remains result oriented person.
•Knowledge of project management both Agile and waterfall.
•Knowledge of ITIL framework
•Proven ability to lead large transformation projects
•Ability to lead teams and groups
•Analytical thinking

Job purpose
The job owner is accountable for the evaluation and boarding activities of all new Solutions/ expansions/ Application etc. for IT (Infra and application) to be in compliance with company approved targets and procedures.
The job owner is responsible to support for assessing information risk and facilitates remediation of identified vulnerabilities for IT and Network security and risk across the enterprise. Supports Internal Audit objectives administratively and functionally. The position holder should be Technically strong enough to find solutions for challenges related to new projects to meet the Business time to market without impacting the operational quality and customer experience.
Key accountabilities
•Support planning and execution of evaluation and boarding activities of all new projects, according to the Plan.
•Ensure proper evaluation of all new Solutions and Applications by participating in RFP process, Design, Development and lab testing.
•Participate in the design discussion related to the delivery highlight the short comings and propose remedial actions
•Certify the new solutions related to IT (applications and Infrastructure not limited to Storage, Open shift, NFVI, Compute/OS (RH, VMware, Unix, Windows), Database mainly Oracle DB’s, IT Applications BSS, OSS, ESS)
•Obtain periodic updates on the technology plans from planning and delivery and ensure technology alignment with the company strategic plans.
•Ensure the day to day orchestration, service assurance and life cycle management of accepted solution are in place.
•Identify the operational SPOCs for the project and work closely with them.
•Review the new projects document as per the set SLA and ensure working with service operations stakeholder for alignment before closing any project delivery milestone.
•Ensure that all operation High availability, best practise integration and documentation methodologies, are taken into consideration when building the acceptance Check list for new solutions.
•Ensure smooth transition of new solutions to production environment and draw efficient operation model that follows the best practise of operational excellence while meeting Business and customer expectation.
•Keep Network Operations up to date with regular progress reports.
•Ensure compliance and adherence to regulatory, statutory and in company governance requirements
•Ensure standards of service / SLA’s are aligned with business objectives
•Coordinate & support Security Risk Assessments and associated Risk Management review for entire Service Operations team.
•15.Documents the risks and snags of the projects if any in the operational tools and update remediation plans and dates to ensure on time closure.
•16.Responsible for compliance of IT patching process for all the IT systems.
•17.Service Operations SPOC for Internal Control Observations, raised by internal audit teams.
•18.Support administratively and functionally in ad-hoc and regular organizational audits and other projects to improve people, processes, and systems within the company
•19.Support in the administrative tracking of audits, the audit follow-up schedule, and centrally storing audit reports
Joining time frame: (15 - 30 days) Terms and conditions
The selected candidates shall join VAM Systems - UAE and shall be deputed to one of the Organizations in UAE.
