Applying Technology in SPED Classroom - Manila

AT3 Event Planning and Concepts Inc. is coming up with our fourth continuing professional education seminar for Special Education teachers and students. The seminar will be on October 22, 2011 from 1PM - 5PM at the Diamond Hotel, Roxas Blvd. corner Dr. J. Quintos St., Manila. The title of our seminar is “Applying Technology in SPED Classroom”.

This seminar deals with developing technology enhanced instructional plans for students with special learning needs. Various teaching strategies and electronic materials will be discussed with focus on their applicability for different disabilities.

Our resource speakers are Mr. Jasper Vincent Q. Alontaga and Ms. Mayumi Gonzales both are faculty of the Educational Leadership and Management Department of the College of Education of De La Salle University – Manila.

Mr. Alontaga is handling Educational Technology courses for both the undergraduate and graduate levels. He finished his Masters in Education, major in Special Education in the same university. He is currently taking up his Doctoral degree, major in Special Education, at the University of the Philippines – Diliman. He’s been involved in training teachers on how to integrate ICTs, such as UNESCO’s Next Generation of Teachers. Ms. Gonzales is taking up her M. A. SPED at DLSU-Manila. She is the head of the Behavioral team/Directress of ABA INSTITUTE and is intensively trained and certified by Eden Family of Services in Princeton, New Jersey under Dr. David L. Holmes in ABA and Autism.

The seminar fee is Php 1,500.00 for early registrants and Php 1,750.00 for walk-in or on-the-day participants. Fee is inclusive of PM snacks with free flowing tea and coffee and seminar kit. Issuance of Certificate of Attendance will be at the end of the seminar.
